St Mary’s Y11 boys team took part in the Sainbury’s School Games badminton competition today at the Tyneside Badminton Centre. Other schools taking part included Excelsior, Benfield, Heaton Manor, Gosforth Academy and Walbottle.
The team included Callum Larmouth, Reece Monaghan, Jack Traynor, Matthew Wilson and Paul Mazhetu.

The Year 9 netball team played Gosforth Academy on the 17th December. Having lost against Heaton Manor last week in their first game of the season, the girls were keen to correct their mistakes from last week and improve their performance as a team. (more…)
Last night’s Christmas Concert was uplifting and inspirational. Around 100 students took part, whether as choir singers, soloists, players in bands, ensembles or in the orchestra. (more…)
A group of Year 12 mathematicians recently visited the Department of Work and Pensions in Longbenton for a day of activities that was designed to help them to apply their analytical skills to real-life problems.
Thanks to everyone who joined us or contributed to the Sixth Form Open Evening. It was a great success – we had an excellent turnout and there was a really vibrant atmosphere.
