Our annual Sixth Form Culture Day allows for our students in the Sixth Form to celebrate the different cultures at St Mary’s.

Originally an ideas from the Diversity and Inclusion committee of the Sixth Form Leadership Team, this annual event allows students to run stalls containing information and selling food/drink that represents their culture along with cultural dress.

Our most recent Culture Day took place on March 31st 2023 and we had representatives from over 12 different cultures including Turkish, Iraqi, Indian, Pakistani, Polish, British, Serbian, Philippine and Congolese.

The stalls were run for students in the Sixth Form during their Personal Development lesson and for the Main School during lunchtime.

Over £100 was raised during Culture Day 2023 and this went to the Turkey and Syrian Earthquake appeal.
