St. Mary’s Sixth Form provides highly effective CIEAG for our students. We provide excellent support with our UCAS process where students are given specialised sessions on how to prepare for applications including 1 on 1 sessions with staff as needed, which has been further developed through the use of Unifrog and SpringPod.

Students undertake a careers curriculum including timetabled lessons focusing on careers and employment, Future Career Talks, Career Fairs and readily disseminated Future Opportunities information to make an informed decision regarding their next step.

The Sixth Form has excellent links with local employers and universities to provide up to date information regarding the world of work and study. This includes employers and institutions meeting the students directly, running development workshops and supporting students with work experience. The Sixth Form has excellent outcomes for students leaving the Sixth Form to go their first-choice destination whether this be university, apprenticeships, or employment.
