The Year 8 Girls, Year 10 Girls and Year 10 Boys teams all played in a league fixture vs Dame Allan’s on Tuesday afternoon.

The Year 8 girls played a hard fought game but ultimately came out winners 8-4 overall. Amy, Grace and Jade each won their singles matches before Amy and Grace won their doubles to seal victory in the final set of the fixture.

The Year 10 girls faced an excellent team in their fixture, but the effort levels never dropped even in the face of defeat. Lucy Hobbs, playing a year up, gave her best and managed to get on the scoreboard despite playing an older and much more experienced opponent.

The Year 10 boys were dominant throughout, winning 3 out of the 4 singles matches and sweeping the doubles. Matthew Mernin and Matthew Chapman recorded excellent 6-0 victories, closely followed by Joe Stonor who won 6-2.

Year 10 Girls – Lucy Hobbs, Mrugaya Mulay, Fiona Anto.

Year 10 Boys – Matthew Mernin, Sam Ashcroft, Joe Stonor, Matthew Chapman.

It was a fantastic day to play and all three teams performed brilliantly well, finishing up with some fantastic results.
