On 1st December, 23 Gifted and Talented KS3 PE students were selected to take part in an inspirational Sky Sports Living for Sport event held at St Mary’s. Pupils were selected, not only for their physical ability, but their dedication and attitude towards St Mary’s extra- curricular sport.

Pupils heard an inspirational presentation from former Olympic Athletes, Gymnast Craig Heap, before taking part in a variety of practical activities which introduced the ‘6 keys to success’. The group listened to Craig’s story of how he overcame barriers to become successful and came up with strategies to overcome any barriers they may face in their own journey in their chosen sport.

The aim of the event was to motivate these young sporting athletes and to encourage them to achieve their full potential. Pupils had a fantastic time and demonstrated their hunger to achieve and be successful.

Good luck in your sporting future- see you in 2024 Olympics!
