On Wednesday 11th November, our whole school community gathered in the atrium around our ‘field of remembrance’ for a service of commemoration for all those who have died in war.

Sixth Form students read some scripture and led the whole school in prayer. We then heard the Exhortation sung beautifully by our chamber choir. Students who are members of the Army or Navy cadets, marched to the front of the atrium to signal the start of our two minute solemn silence. As the last post was being played, a representative from each year group placed a poppy wreath down on the front of the display. It was a very fitting and respectful atmosphere created by all our students for what is a very solemn celebration.
