The Thoughts and Prayers provide an opportunity to think about the identity of Jesus through the events of the Transfiguration as well as thinking more deeply about ourselves and looking after ourselves. The Thoughts and Prayers PowerPoint also showcases the entries for the first Church Jubilee competition, announces the winners of the first competition and introduces the second competition to form groups.
This week our theme in school is Remembrance and is linked to the quote “Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends”.
The Thoughts and Prayers this week provide an opportunity remember the lives of those who have fought for freedom or to protect others and who have as a result suffered or lost their lives. It also prompts us to consider ways in which we could make sacrifices for others which could help make the world a better place.
