Our theme in school this week is Promise. It is based on the scripture passage in the Gospel of Mark which says, “This is my body, this is my blood, the blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many. ” (14:12-16)
This passage describes Jesus instructing his disciples to prepare for the Passover meal, which would become known as the Last Supper.
The primary message of the passage lies in Jesus’ preparation for the upcoming events, specifically his crucifixion, which would take place shortly after the Last Supper. Jesus is aware of his impending death and is putting into action God’s plan for salvation.
