Year 12 and 13

AQA A Level Music

• 40% performance in the first year, students prepare a short programme of performances.
• 30% composition in the first year – students complete a longer piece of music in response to a brief set by exam board.
• 30% listening and appraising.  Students study one compulsory set work and then specialise in studying British popular music since 1960’s, musical theatre since 1940 or choral music in the Baroque period.
