Newcastle College – Year 9

Last week, our Year 9 students had the fantastic opportunity to hear from Newcastle College, who visited to talk about the wide range of courses and pathways available after Year 11.

The session helped students explore:

  • Different vocational courses offered at the college

  • What life is like studying in a specialist learning environment

  • Career routes linked to subjects such as engineering, health, creative industries, sport, digital technology, and more

  • How to start thinking about future goals as they move towards their GCSE options

Students asked thoughtful questions and gained a clearer understanding of the many opportunities open to them in the North East. The talk also encouraged them to think about their interests, strengths, and the steps they might take in the next few years.

A big thank you to Newcastle College for coming in and sharing their expertise—our Year 9s left feeling motivated and excited for the future!
